The sheer opacity allows natural light to flow through the room, while the room darkening blackout opacity minimizes exposure to sunlight and allows you to create darkness any time of day. The curtains are 100% polyester with a smooth, sateen look and a grommet top treatment with eight (8) matte silver grommets. They are woven with thermal insulation and light-blocking fibers, and should be hand washed cold with like colors, using only non-chlorine bleach as needed, line dried, and cool ironed.
